The text was written in Pali and describes the Patimokkha (the fundamental precepts) recited by a monk in an assembly of the Sangha on the Buddhist day.
Colophon:
Folio 39 on the recto side: In Culasakkarat (CS) 1232, a kot sanga year, on the tenth day of the waning moon of the third [lunar] month, a moeng khai day, the fourth day of the week (Wednesday), around 13:30, the writing of this manuscript was finished. Chao Hua Phan from Ngoi district and his wife had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Lam Supphasut to support the Teachings of the Buddha. May all our wishes and desires be fulfilled. May we reach the three stage of happiness with the Nirvana as the ultimate goal. May this not be ignored, please.
