While the Buddha was dwelling in Kapilavatthu, he delivered a sermon to his disciples describing Dāna (alms-giving) and Sīla (morality). The results of alms-giving and observing the precepts depend on the practitioners. Those who wish to gain lokiya (mundane) results such as becoming a king, an affluent, God Indra, Brahma or an emperor, their wishes are regarded as carelessness because they follow their own cravings. If they wish to gain lokuttara (supra-mundane) results such as Nirvana, they are regarded as careful.

Folio 31 on the recto side: In Culasakkarat (CS) 1274, a tao cai year, on the eighth day of the waning moon of the seventh [lunar] month, the seventh day of the week (Saturday), at the time of the morning drum (7:30–9:00), the writing of this manuscript was finished. Sathu Kham Uan together with her parents and all siblings had jointly the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Munlanipphan to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5 thousand years. May all our wishes and desires be fulfilled. Sādhu sādhu nibbānaṃ paramaṃ sukhaṃ (Well done, well done! Nirvana is the greatest bliss).
Folio 32 on the recto side: I am Sao Bua who had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Munlanipphan in order to dedicate [the merit derived from the making of this manuscript] to Xiang (ex-novice) Phan, Sao Mi; both of them were already die to other world.

If they have been stuck in a place of suffering, please let them move to a happy place. Even if they have already been stuck in a happy place, please let them enjoy happiness numerous times more than previously. Nibbānaṃ paramaṃ sukhaṃ (Nirvana is the greatest bliss).
