Description of manuscript content:
The text was written in Pali and Lao in accordance with the Nissaya in which the text was written in Pali and verbatim translated into Lao. The text starts at the beginning and runs until the end of the Patimokkha.
Colophon:
Folio 83 on the recto side: In Culasakkarat (CS) 1245, a ka mot year, on the third day of the waxing moon of the twelfth [lunar] month, the sixth day of the week (Thursday), a kot set day, at the time of the morning drum (7:30–9:00), the writing of this manuscript was finished. Hua Chao Phila, the principal initiator, together with his parents and all siblings, had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Sab Patimok to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May I dedicate the benefits derived from the making of this manuscript to Mae-òk (mother) who has already died and entered the other world. If she has been stuck in a place of suffering, please have her moved to a good place. If she has already been stuck in a good place, please let her enjoy happiness numerous times more than previously. Nibbānaṃ paramaṃ sukkhaṃ niccaṃ niccaṃ (Nirvana is the greatest bliss certainly).
