The text contains the legendary history of the Island of Bali. It starts with the time when Bali was still uninhabited and only consisted of lakes and mountains. The mountains mentioned in the text are the Catur Lokapala Mountains (Lampuyang, Andakasa, Watukaru, Batur). At that time, the island was often shaken by earthquakes. Then Sang Hyang Pasupati who resided on Mount Semeru moved the mountain’s peak to safe Bali and the mountain was called Tohlangkir but is better known as Gunung Agung. Then Sang Hyang Pasupati ordered the Mpu Pancatirta (Mpu Gnijaya, Mpu Semeru, Mpu Gana, Mpu Kuturan, Mpu Beradah) to start organizing the life of the Bali Aga in Bali. At the end of the text is written how important the mountains are and that they always need to be worshipped.
