The text tells of the regulations of an institution called pamaksan. They are rooted in the regulations of the gods. They include how to make offerings, and how they should be sprinkled with holy water so that all impurities contained in the offerings’ ingredients are removed. Without this sprinkling of water, the gods will not accept the offerings. The text also contains a list of penalties for pamaksan members who violate the rules. For instance, when an insane person wants to enter a temple when a ritual is taking place, he should be reminded kindly to abstain from doing so because if not, his family would be fined the sum of 251 Chinese coins (kepeng).
