The text is a manual for pemangkus (priests) when they officiate during ceremonies. It contains the mantras to be said such as the first one for Sang Hyang Surya so that the Sun God will be willing to attend the ceremony. Other mantras include mantra sangkepin, mantra petabuhan, mantra muktiang caru, mantra to destroy the demon Kala, and mantras to attend to the gods when they reside in the temple.
