Description of manuscript content:
1st text about Islamic mysticism, focusing on the concepts of spiritual excellence, abstinence from what is doubtful or impermissible, and asceticism or detachment from worldly desires. Each chapter begins with the imperative form of the verb “Alaika” (upon you).
2nd is a commentary on a poem (kasidah) written by Shaykh Bint al-Milaq, a scholar of the Shadhiliyyah. The text was commented upon by a prominent Naqshbandī scholar, with in-depth explanations.
3rd contains hadiths, that are divided into several chapters. However, each chapter does not explain the theme of the hadiths contained within it.
4th is a commentary on a book written by Abu 'Abd Allah Muhammad Ibn Yusuf al-Sanusi, also known as Imam Sanusi. The text is a response to a request to explain the theology of Imam Sanusi.
The last explains the creation of the Light of Muhammad. It describes the creation of the universe through the Light of Muhammad and how this light passed from Prophet Adam until it reached the PBUH.
