Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript is the seventh volume out of 110 volumes. The manuscript, titled “Si Pu Co Ang,” contains a folk tale letter that tells the story of Obang losing his temper after hearing someone shouting obscene words in front of his house. He then challenged the person with an insult, calling him shameless. After that, security officers arrested the person by tying a rope around his neck.

- Volume 32 was destroyed by termites. Volumes 51–110 are missing. - The information about the total number of volumes (110) comes from the list of works by Liem Kheng Yong found at the end of each volume. - The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.”
