Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript is the third of 12 volumes titled “Ouw Pe Coa.” It is a folk tale that tells the story of when Ko Han Bung's medicinal letter and talisman were stolen by a woman named Si Ao Cen, who then tore the letter apart.

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.”
