Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript is the 11th of 14 volumes titled “Ga Ge.” It is a folk tale that tells the story of a disaster in the land of E Ang caused by the death of its king, which resulted from his consumption of medicine intended to prolong his life.

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.”
