Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript is the 13th of 17 volumes titled “Ban Hao Tiong.” It is a folk tale that tells the story of Ban Hao Tiong, who, on this night, would tighten security and remain on constant alert together with Li Bong Ji.

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.”
