Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript is the 11th of 17 volumes titled “Ban Hao Tiong.” It is a folk tale that tells the story of Ban Hao Tian, who was overjoyed to hear the news that Go Ang Soe had returned from war victorious and that the construction of his fortress had been successfully completed.

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.”
