Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript is the eighth of 17 volumes titled “Ban Hao Tiong.” It is a folk tale that tells the story of Goeng Soe issuing an order to leave the city in order to conduct an inspection at the Benteng Tiga fort located outside the city.

Other notes:

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.”
