Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript is the 19th of 21 volumes titled “Si Jin Kui.” It is a folk tale that tells the story of He Ang Seng Te Ci as he pursued his studies, while Go Ang Soe displayed his battle formation in a village to the south.

Other notes:

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.” - There is an error in the recorded date, written as 2–12–1928, whereas it should be 2–1–1929.
