Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript is the 15th of 21 volumes titled “Si Jin Kui.” It is a folk tale that tells the story of the horse So A Ho A Cong, and of Eng Bang Ing Sing, who came to the aid of the true king.

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.”
