Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript is the fifth of 21 volumes titled “Si Jin Kui.” It is a folk tale that tells the story of Si Jin Kui striking a tiger on a mountain, followed by an old hero who gave guidance to the people and the troops.

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.”
