Description of manuscript content:
This manuscript is the 11th of 22 volumes titled “San He Lan Tong.” It is a folk tale that tells the story of Lao Hujing, who was struck by an illness that no doctor could cure—an affliction believed to be supernatural illness that was transferred by another person.

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.”
