Description of manuscript content:
This manuscript is the 17th of 23 volumes titled “San Tae, Sio Ciya.” It is a folk tale that contains a story about the king issuing a decree to Leng Hong to search for Eyang Pe Hang and Peng Jiheng, who were said to have gone in search of knowledge at an unknown location. The king then ordered a search across all corners of the world.

Other notes:
- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.” - The cover is made from newspaper. - The back cover is missing.
