Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript is the 12th of 23 volumes titled “San Tae, Sio Ciya.” It is a folk tale that tells the story of Yang Pehang, who, after eating and drinking together with Peng Ji Heng, Oang Ing, and Ke Seng, meets Tio Ing.

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.” - The cover is made from newspaper. - The writing date is missing because it has been eaten away by termites. - The paper is torn and eaten by termites, causing the text to be lost from pages 8r to 42v.
