Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript is the 24th of 25 volumes titled “Kin Ko Ki Ko An.” It is a folk tale that tells the story of a massacre in the village of Kang Leng. The village is now uninhabited, and the remaining belongings have been looted by bandits.

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.”
