Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript is the 21st of 25 volumes titled “Kin Ko Ki Ko An.” It is a folk tale that tells the story of Asiyu getting caught doing “dirty” things for three days. On the third day, she felt so ashamed that she hung herself to death.

Other notes:

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.” - There is an error in the month written in the colophon. It is written as 16–11–1934, but it should be 16–1–1934.
