Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript is the seventh of 25 volumes titled “Kin Ko Ki Ko An.” It is a folk tale that tells the story about the corpse of an adulterer whose burial was refused because it was believed to bring misfortune for seven generations.

Other notes:

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.” - There is a warning text for readers on page 42r to always take care of this rupama (by reading it properly and not tearing it), because the author has passed away.
