This manuscript is the 30th of 45 volumes. The manuscript, titled “Tek Ceng-Ngo Ho Peng Se,” is folk tale that tells the story of Tek Ceng wanted to leave, and his departure was not in one month or two months, but it took years before he could return.
Other notes:
- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi.
- Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community.
- It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend.
- There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.”
- There are several pages of text missing at the back, as evidenced by the remaining torn paper edges.
