This manuscript is the 20th of 45 volumes. The manuscript, titled “Tek Ceng-Ngo Ho Peng Se,” is folk tale that tells the story of the severe hardship and stinginess that befell Tek Ceng made it difficult to find a way out.

Other notes:

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.” - The front cover is missing. - The paper at the beginning of the manuscript is torn, causing text to be lost from page 1r to 3v.
