The merit derived from offering flowers and fragrance to worship the Buddha. The ones who worship the Buddha with flowers and fragrance will gain merit in the three stages: in the human world, the heavenly world and Nirvana. Also people who worship the Buddha will gain power, those who worship the Dhamma will gain wisdom, and those who worship the Sangha (Order) will gain wealth.

Pha Phui Thiracitto, the abbot of Vat Pha Maha That Rajabovoravihan, Luang Prabang, was the sponsor and the scribe of this manuscript entitled Sòng Dòkmai in order to support the Teachings of the Buddha. Suddhinaṃ dhamma dānaṃ āsavak khayāvahaṃ hotu anāgate kāle nibbānaṃ paramaṃ sukhaṃ niccaṃ dhuvaṃ hotu (Giving gift of Dhamma is better than giving all other gifts.
