Description of manuscript content:
This manuscript is the 66th of 79 volumes. The manuscript, titled “Sam Po Kong,” is folk tale that tells the story of a place of worship for Muslims visited by righteous people and guarded by two black tigers. The mosque in question is the one in Medina that contains the tomb of Prophet Muhammad. This mosque is referred to as Ti Yang Tong Mosque.

Other notes:
- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red author’s stamp, but it has faded.
