Description of manuscript content:
This manuscript is the 57th of 79 volumes. The manuscript, titled “Sam Po Kong,” is folk tale that tells the story of Ti Yang Lo introduced his followers to the strange doves that arrived in flocks numbering in the thousands, bowing before them. These birds were called Hong Hong.

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.”
