This manuscript is the 43rd of 79 volumes. The manuscript, titled “Sam Po Kong,” is folk tale that tells the story of The story of when Ong Beng asked Ceng Moto Tiyang to write a coded character, followed by a dialogue about matters of war.
The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi.
Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community.
It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend.
There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.”
