This manuscript is the 42nd of 79 volumes. The manuscript, titled “Sam Po Kong,” is folk tale that tells the story of Go Ang Soeng was terrified upon seeing the enemy he would face in battle.
The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi.
Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community.
It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend.
There is a red author’s stamp, but it has faded.
There is a Hua-He text in the colophon, covered with a piece of pasted paper.
