This manuscript is the 37th of 79 volumes. The manuscript, titled “Sam Po Kong,” is folk tale that tells the story of Ong Beng praised his son as the number one hero.
The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi.
Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community.
It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend.
There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.”
There is a Hua-He text at the beginning of the colophon date that is covered by glued paper.
