Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript is the 34th of 79 volumes. The manuscript, titled “Sam Po Kong,” is folk tale that tells the story of Sam Po Kong recorded the types of goods received by Hong Teya as a token of gratitude in a letter.

Other notes:

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.” - There is no indication of the manuscript’s date of writing, as the colophon page is missing due to the loss of several leaves at the end. - Pages 27 to 35 are missing from the text, as the sheets are torn. - The manuscript paper has holes, causing portions of the text to be lost from page 13r to 19v, and 33r to 35v. - The back cover has holes. - There are folds on the manuscript.
