Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript is the 32nd of 79 volumes. The manuscript, titled “Sam Po Kong,” is folk tale that tells the story of Hong Le Yang Ki Ong Cu carefully prepared for his death. The empress stated that if that was truly his aspiration, then he should at least leave behind a good impression.

Other notes:

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.” - There is a piece of HVS paper affixed to pages 8r–8v to repair and rejoin the torn sheet.
