Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript is the 25th of 79 volumes. The manuscript, titled “Sam Po Kong,” is folk tale that tells the story of Ti Yang Su imposed punishment on someone with an evil character by killing and mutilating him, such as having his head cut off and then skinned, his bones cut into pieces and then cooked. This method makes Ti Yang Su satisfied.

Other notes:

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.” - There are traces of moisture on the manuscript paper.
