This manuscript is the 81st of 93 volumes. The manuscript, titled “Tang Le Keng,” is a folk tale that tells the story of Tang Le Keng laughing at Em Peng, who is sleeping while sitting.

Other notes:

The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.” The paper is torn from pages 1r to 2v, causing some of the text to be lost.
