- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi.
- Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community.
- It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend.
- There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.”
- Some of the paper was torn and eaten by termites, causing part of the text to be missing from folios 1r–9v.
