Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript is the 54th of 93 volumes. The manuscript, titled “Tang Le Keng,” is a folk tale that tells the part of the story where Tang Le Keng strikes the bandit troops, causing Ing Liong to feel delighted.

Other notes:

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.” - Back cover is nothing. - There are losing texts in the back of manuscript. - Ten pages have been damaged by termites, causing slight loss of text. - The time of writing could not be determined because the final pages of the manuscript are missing.
