Description of manuscript content:

This manuscript is the 50th of 93 volumes. The manuscript, titled “Tang Le Keng,” is a folk tale that tells the story of a secret letter that uses a two-letter code called Sang Goang Pociya.

Other notes:

- The writing is dominated by the Lontarak Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. - Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. - It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. - There is no time or place of writing indicated in the manuscript. - There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.”
