- Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community.
- It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend.
- There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.”
- The front cover is missing, with traces indicating it was torn off, and it was later replaced with a cover made from used Chinese newspaper.
