This manuscript is the 21st of 93 volumes. The manuscript, titled “Tang Le Keng,” is a folk tale that tells the story revealing that if Tang Le Keng were gone, it would not take long for the land to become overrun with demons.

Other notes:

The writing is dominated by the Lontara Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community. It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR".
