This manuscript is the first of 93 volumes. The manuscript, titled “Tang Le Keng,” is a folk tale referred to as Tong Ko Ci, which tells the story of the escape of a scholar named Sinae Eyang Sing Se.

The writing is dominated by the Lontara Makassarese script, with some characters modified by Liem Kheng Yong, and features a combination with Hanzi. Initially, this manuscript was rented out to the Peranakan Chinese community.
It is adapted from a Chinese folk legend. There is a red stamp of the author that reads: “LIEM KHENG YONG-MAKASSAR.”
