Description of manuscript content:
While residing in the Tavatimsa Heaven, the Buddha was asked for help by a Devaputta named Supatitthita. Supatitthita was learned from his friend that he would die within 7 days and be happened in the hell and then beome various kinds of animals and disabled, 500 incarnations for each kind. The Buddha gave him a sermon describing his bad Karma (bad deed) from his previous lives. In order to keep him living in the heaven for long, the Buddha advised him to learn and recite a special spell named Unhassavijaya. By the power of the spell, Supatithita has not left the heaven until present.

Folio 8 on the recto side: In Culasakkarat (CS) 1293, a huang mot year, on the first waxing day of the third [lunar] month, a tao nyi day, the fifth day of the week (Thursday), the writing of this manuscript was finished in the afternoon (between 12.00–13.30 o’clock). Thit (ex-monk) Suk and Sao (Mrs.) Phui from Hòm Kok Jiang had the ardent religious faith to jointly sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Unhatsavisaito support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May we be released from all diseases and dangers. Moreover, may we achieve the 4 Magga and 4 Phala (the paths and fruitions), may all our wishes and desires come true and may we finally reach the crystal city which is Nirvāna. Niccaṃ dhuvaṃ paramaṃ (Constantly and certainly).
