Description of manuscript content:
Sap Kammavaca, the formal words of the act using at an ordination ceremony. The text was written in Pali and Lao. The content describes the process of the ordination ceremony for monks.

Folio 17 on the recto side: In Culasakkarat (CS) 1240, a poek nyi year, on the thirteenth waning day of the twelfth [lunar] month, a kap si day, the sixth day of the week (Friday), the writing of this manuscript was finished at the time of the sunset drum (between 13.30–15.00 o’clock). Nang Phia Vaen had the ardent religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Sap Khammavacha to support the Teachings of the Buddha. May all my wishes come true, may I reach the three states of happiness with Nirvāna as the ultimate goal. Sādhu sādhu anumodāmi (Amen! Amen! I rejoice). Chua (novice) Suk is the scribe, may I share much merit.
