Description of manuscript content:
On one occasion, the Buddha was residing at the Jetavanan Monastery in Savatthi. Venerable Sariputta Thera and Anadha Bindika millionaire together with his followers came to present of the Buddha. Anadha spoke to the Buddha about his attention to build abodes for the Buddha and monks. Then the millionaire asked about the benefits which will be derived from building the lodges in order to offer them the Buddha and the Sangha. Therefore, the Buddha delivered a sermon and described about the profits of building abodes for the Sangha to them.

Folio 28 on the recto side: In Culasakkarat (CS) 1243, a huang sai year, on the second waxing day of the twelfth [lunar] month, the second day of the week (Monday), a huang mao day, the writing of this manuscript was finished at the time of the sunset drum (between 13.30–15.00 o’clock). Chao Mòm (monk) Phò Achan Thongdi had the religious faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Vatthu Lam Malika 3 fascicles, to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May all my wishes and desires come true. Sādhu nibbānaṃ paramaṃ sukhaṃ (Amen! Nirvāna is the greatest bliss).
