Description of manuscript content:
The text mentions about the merit derived from making Thung Lek (a flag with iron sheets) and donated to a monastery in order to worship the Triple Gem. In the Buddha’s time while residing at Bupparam Vihara, the Buddha answered the questions raised by King Pasendhi Kosala about the benefits which derived from the making of various kinds of flags and donated as worship to the Triple Gem. The Buddha said “… in the time of Vipassi Buddha, there was a trouble man along with his wife had the most ardent religious faith to make a flag. They prepared a wood for using as the pole of the flag. Their flag had not been finished yet the husband suddenly died. With his faithful mind, he occurred in Tavatimsa Heaven as a divinity and possessed a lot of heavenly treasures.
