Description of manuscript content:
The first of four fascicles of Cundasukarika Sutta was written in Pali language begins Sukittimā subācāro susiravā supāgatassa. The text is popularly used by a monk to read in the nyot tham ceremony which is organized in a monastery or a house in order to get merit.
Colophon:
Folio 7 on the recto side: In Culasakkarat (CS) 1213, a huang khai day, on the fifth waning day of the twelfth [lunar] month, a tao san day, the fifth day of the week (Thursday), the writing of this manuscript was finished at the time of the morning drum (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Nang Kuan Saen Nòng and her children and all her relatives had the most ardent religious faith to jointly sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Lam 8 Mün to support the Teachings of the Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. Nibbāna paccayo hotu no (May this be a condition for us to reach Nirvāna).
