Some prayers preceed the main text such as the prayer to open the fast, the intention (niat) for the fast during the month Ramadhan, the prayer at the grave, and prayers when making a pilgrimage to graves. On the back of the binding is written that a woman named Maimunah died on Monday, in the month Jumadil ‘Ula, 1339 H.
At the end is text about the meaning of the shahada that is unrelated to the rest of the text in the manuscript.
