Description of manuscript content:
The city ruler of Kāsī had four princes but could not exactly enthrone the right prince to be a new ruler. He asked the city rulers of Mithilā and Vārāṇasī (modern Benares) to help him make a decision. The two rulers asked the four princes to show their special abilities but could not decide the right one yet. The city ruler named Jeyya asked the princes to make his daughter fall in love. Finally, only Bhaya Kumāra succeeded. He was therefore enthroned to be a new city ruler of Kāsī.

If I still remain in the Cycle of Rebirths, may the merit derived from copying this manuscript support me with longevity, nice body shape and complexion, opportunities to make merit and observe precepts in every future life, and safety from illnesses. In the last life may I be reborn in the same era as Buddha Metteyya. May I listen to his Dhamma and reach Nibbāna or the freedom from birth, aging, illness, and death.
I finished the writing [of this manuscript] in Cūḷasakarāja 1277, on the second day of the waxing moon of the twelfth lunar month.
Remark: The date corresponds to 1277 Karttika 2.
