I put my hands together to pay homage to the supreme Buddha who already reached Nibbāna while we are still caught in the Cycle of Rebirths. The Buddha taught his Dhamma to us. May the merit derived from copying this manuscript support me to be free from suffering and reach Nibbāna.
Completely copied in the ninth [lunar] month, the ninth day of the waxing moon

(The inner flyleaf)
I pay homage to the Buddha who is the most excellent being in the world, the Dhamma that rescues us away from suffering, and the Sangha who has inherited and preserved the Buddhist religion and the Teachings of the Buddha. As long as I am still alive, I will continue copying the Teachings of the Buddha. May I be endowed with sharp wisdom, a pure mind, and stay away from all dangers.
This manuscript was copied from the original version of Phrā Takā Nāi Cantā in Müang Sòng inhabiting Bān Hua Nòng.
