The text mentions about in the Buddha’s time, the Buddha accompanied with 500 bhikkhus including Ananda Thera travelled to a hill named Doi Tao where the hair relics of the previous Buddhas had been installed. Later King Asoka built the sputa to protect the relics. In Buddhist Era 800, a bhikkhu and a devoted girl named Sutsada who had religious faith, they together made a statue of the Buddha of a crystal. This made the people misunderstood and accused them having sexual misconduct but not true. The head district of the village ordered to kill Sutsada.
Folio 15 on the recto side: In BE 2572 (corresponding with BE 2472), a kat sai year, on the seventh waxing day of the fourth [lunar] month, the writing of this manuscript was finished at the time of the morning drum (between 7.30–9.00 o’clock). Sao (Mrs.) Thi and her husband had the mindful faith to sponsor the making of this manuscript entitled Taman Dòi Tao to support the Teachings of Gotama Buddha to last until the end of 5000 years. May this merit be the benefit and support me like the Lord Buddha had preached and shined the six kinds of glorious, may this not be missed. May all my wishes and desires come true. Dānaṃ me parasuddhinaṃ nibbānaṃ hotu anãgate kāle sukkhaṃ paramaṃ sukhaṃ (My giving is purified. May this [be a condition for me] to enter Nirvana in the future. [Nirvana] is the greatest bliss).
