Description of manuscript content:
The Buddha presented this Jātaka story to monks. The story defines a poor couple who had two sons. The couple got blind and died. Bodhisatta and his younger brother reminded a wealthy man to repay money borrowed from their parents. The two brothers spent the money on their parents’ funeral. Later, the ruler passed away. People in the city invited Bodhisatta to become a new ruler and appointed his brother as a viceroy. This eventual success resulted from the merit derived from holding a funeral ceremony for their parents.

May they all gain the merit and reach Nibbāna in the future. Remark: The date corresponding to AD 2014/15.
Other notes:
The front cover, the back cover, and the spine are not decorated. (The inner flyleaf) I put my hands on ten fingers to pay homage to the Buddha who is the supporter of all beings, the Dhamma, and the Sangha. I pay homage to my parents whose favour is as great as an ocean and Mount Sumeru . I pay homage to my teachers. If I still remain in the Cycle of Rebirths, may I have wisdom, never go to hell, become a disciple of the [future] Buddha, listen to the Dhamma of the Buddha, and reach Nibbāna with him. Note: This manuscript was copied from the original version written by Care Kham Hoeng Tāng Yān. This Jātaka intends to teach people to repay their parents’ favour.
